What is the Hungover Run Club?

The Hungover Run Club is a virtual, international run club that is equal parts joke and sport. The purpose is to show people that you can go out on the weekends, have a great time, enjoy a couple bevs, and still get your ass up and run the next morning.


What is the Miles Challenge?

The Miles Challenge is a charity competition to keep you moving as the weather turns and get you back in the running spirit for summer.


We start at 7 total miles, on Monday, Mar 9.

  • Add 2 miles every week through May 17, broken up into however many runs you need

  • All runs must be logged on Strava, done outdoors, and completed before midnight on Saturday.

  • If you don’t hit your miles, you’re out.

How does it work?


What about weather?

Indoor miles are only allowed for extreme weather events, with a Strava “permission slip” aka a photo of the weather you believe to be too dangerous to run in. Otherwise…suck it up buttercup.


How do I join?

  • $10 to join: Pay via Venmo or PayPal before Week 1

  • Join the Strava group to post your workouts and cheer on others

  • If you complete all 10 weeks, you qualify for Finals and a shot at the prize money.


If you complete all 10 weeks, you qualify for the the Hungover Mile on May 17:

  • Go to a track (anywhere in the world)

  • Take one shot of your liquor of choice, or chug one beer*

  • Run 1 all-out mile and upload it to Strava

  • The top 3 male + top 3 female times split the prize $

*for my non-drinkers, you will chug a glass of milk
